5. Product Performance

5.1 The transfer switch is an integrated unit composed of two miniature circuit breakers combined with a motor and a mechanical transmission device, and uses a controller to monitor the two power sources. When an abnormality occurs in the circuit, the controller makes a logical judgment on the monitoring results, and according to the controller's instructions

5.10 Under normal circumstances, the transfer switch features automatic transfer and automatic return (self-transfer and self-recovery) function, and follows the principle that the normal power supply takes priority. If a transfer switch with automatic transfer but without automatic return is required for special applications, the user shall consult with the manufacturer for customization.

6. Operation and Installation

Connect the incoming and outgoing lines and the neutral line of the normal power supply and the backup power supply as actually required by the designed circuit. The outgoing terminals of the two circuit breakers are connected in parallel, but the phase sequence must be consistent (see the wiring diagram).

If the circuit breaker is a 3-pole type, the neutral line must be connected to the neutral terminal of the transfer switch (in Figure 6.2, the common neutral line and the backup neutral line are connected to terminal 2# and terminal 4# respectively).

6.3 When manual operation of the transfer switch is required, if it is the JGQ1-63 type, first set the button switch to the manual position; the handle can then be turned to switch between the normal power supply and the standby power supply. If it is the JGQ1-63 type, press the Manual/Auto button; switching between the normal power supply and the standby power supply can only be performed when the manual indicator light is on. Set the control mode to the automatic position, and the transfer switch enters the automatic working state; moreover, the normal power supply takes priority.

6.4 When the transfer switch is wired according to the wiring diagram, after normal energization, if the normal power supply and the backup power supply are both normal, the indicator light (red) for the normal power supply or the backup power supply lights up, and the transfer switch operates normally.
