I. Overview      

AFDDArc Fault Detection Deviceis assembled from a miniature circuit breaker and an arc fault detection module, providing protection functions such as overload, short circuit, and arc fault protection.

AFDDArc Fault Detection Deviceis suitable for circuits with AC 50Hz, rated voltage 230V, and rated current up to 63A and below. It is used for overcurrent protection of circuits in buildings and similar applications, and can also detect in advance many fire risks caused by broken electrical devices or aging wires, providing protection against grounding arc faults, parallel arc faults, and series arc faults. It reduces the occurrence of fire safety accidents to a certain extent and provides effective protection for people's lives and property safety.

III. Normal Operating Conditions and Installation Conditions

a) Ambient air temperature

The ambient air temperature shall not exceed +70℃, and shall not be lower than -35℃, and the average value over 24 hours shall not exceed +35℃;

Note: For AFDDs used under conditions where the ambient air temperature is higher than +70℃ or lower than -35℃, the AFDD arc fault protection circuit breaker shall be subject to consultation with the manufacturer;

b) Altitude

The altitude of the installation site shall not exceed 2000m;

c) Atmospheric conditions

The relative humidity of the atmosphere shall not exceed +60℃ at the maximum ambient temperature, and higher relative humidity is permissible at lower temperatures, for example 50% at , such as 20℃ at 90%, and protective measures shall be taken against occasional condensation caused by temperature changes;

d) Installation conditions

Arc fault detection deviceThe external magnetic field near the installation site shall not exceed 5 times the geomagnetic field in any direction; the installation position shall be vertical, with a tilt in any direction not exceeding 10°; it shall be installed in a place without impact vibration and without rain or snow; it shall be installed using a standard TH35-7.5 steel mounting rail;

e) Pollution degree: 2 ;

f) Installation category: Ⅲ;

g) Protection degree: IP20 (IP40 when installed in a distribution box, distribution cabinet, or enclosure);

    h) For products with an N pole, the neutral wire must be connected to the pole marked N during wiring.
