Faults And Troubleshooting Methods For Control And Protective Switching Devices

As the usage of JGKB control and protection switches continues to increase, we have compiled the issues reported by customers, hoping to help resolve problems encountered in daily operations.

1. Abnormal heating of control and protection switch

Possible causes:

A. Loose terminal screws and conductor wiring screws

b. Increased contact impedance of terminal blocks causing heating, loose internal locking, broken braided wires causing increased current density

C. Severely excessive pH levels in the surrounding air, causing increased contact impedance of terminals and heating

Solutions:

Tighten the terminal screws, or replace with a new product and investigate the cause

2. Cannot operate, cannot close

Possible causes:

A. The control and protection switch has not been reset (reclosed),

B. The number of trip operations has exceeded the product's service life

C. Abnormal operating mechanism

D. Control circuit voltage too low

E. Protection switch protection parameters do not match the load motor parameters

Solutions:

A. Perform reset (reclose
